Abstract

This article aims to promote dialogue between Bonhoeffer and Luther's theology, thinking about the problem of racial superiority. He reinforces the thesis that the correct interpretation of Bonhoeffer's theology must always be seen in his dialogue with Luther's theology. This is an analysis of a literary nature. It is found a double movement: Luther's theology provided the basis for Bonhoeffer's reflection and action regarding the racial issue and, at the same time, Bonhoeffer corrected the interpretative mistakes of Luther's theology and updated his theological heritage for today. In this way, the dialogue between Bonhoeffer and Luther is (always) necessary and current because it provides references for theological discernment.
