This article is a reflection on the relationship of the Assemblies of God in Brazil with ecology. It is, admittedly, the largest Brazilian Pentecostal denomination, numerically speaking. However, it is necessary not only to note the gifts of its numerical growth and therefore its evident presence in the public space, but also to investigate the exercise of its responsibility for society and the common good, especially with the environment, in the care of the land that is home to all. In this sense, the official documents of the denomination - the monthly jornal Mensageiro da Paz (Messenger of Peace), and the quarterly magazine Lições Bíblicas (Biblical Lessons), used every Sunday at the Bible School Dominical - are means to show the official positions of the church, made available and taught to all members, regarding ecological issues and how they exert (or not) their role of influence in society towards a defense to the environment, in the care for nature and in the awareness of its members on the duties with the land.
