This analysis seeks to unveil issues present in the Brazilian context from the perspective of the tensions arising from a cultural war and its implications for sociability. By means of a documentary bibliographical survey based on published theoretical references, the article brings to light the criticisms made of “cultural Marxism” in its links with Brazilian governance. Despite a rather simplistic epistemological notion of society's moral decay, the alarmist rhetoric succeeds in amalgamating strategic social cohesion. The results show that the issues highlighted in the approach manage to amplify elements that evoke performances in favor of a moralistic order.
