The Eucharist in the actualization of Christian initiation

analysis from the perspective of Zubirian metaphysics

Abstract

This article aims to show that the importance of the Eucharist or Holy Supper in the life of the Christian Churches and of each of the faithful in particular rests on the fact that the Eucharist is the moment that realizes and actualizes the Christian Initiation Project, very strong and active as it was at the beginning of Christianity. Then the Eucharist realized and actualized Christian life in the dynamism of the ritual commensality among brothers. The concept of realization and actualization with which we work is founded on Zubirian metaphysics, whose axis is reality. Thus, we are obliged for logical reasons to 2021431expose, even briefly, the bases of Zubiri’s thought to develop the proposed argument.
