Abstract

In this article we seek to discuss the concept of evil and its relationship with the attributes of God based on the philosophical-theological conceptions of Thomas Aquinas, particularly through the bibliographic review of the Summa Theologica and Summa contra gentiles. Elucidating the conception of good and evil in relation to God’s the traditional attributes presented by Christian theology (omnipotence, omniscience and goodness), it is shown, in consonance with  Thomas’ thought, that the existence of evil does not impute guilt to God, while evil remains a dramatic phenomenon in creation.
