The Kingdom of God is one of the themes present in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. In this article, an exposition of the nature and timing of God's Kingdom as presented in chapter 2 of the book of Daniel is provided. The interpretations regarding the timing and nature of the Kingdom will be presented, followed by an exposition and study of Daniel 2. The study is approached from a canonical perspective, taking into account a traditional perspective, with the presupposition of the testimony of the biblical narrative concerning divine action and the predictive character indicated in Daniel's text. Applying this approach highlights the literal and supernatural nature of the establishment of God's Kingdom, as indicated by the Old and New Testament texts. This Kingdom, therefore, reveals the direct action of a God who acts in history and guides its course until its final consummation, with the total and complete restoration of humanity.
