EPIS¬TEMOLOGICAL OUTLINES OF PRACTICAL CYBERTHEOLOGY

The pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus in Brazil brought relevant changes to the social body. New guidelines were adopted by public bodies, leading to new habits of disease prevention. In the distancing policy, using the measure of social isolation, all establishments were relatively deactivated to avoid the flow of people in closed environments. The church was one of the places that remained closed, respecting the lockdown of each state and municipality, seeking alternatives to maintain the days of worship, using digital resources through the internet. Cyberspace became a power for the development of ecclesiastical activities, guaranteeing the faithful the possibility of keeping their faith and ministerial practices up to date. In view of this, it was fitting to discuss in this article, in reflections, how Practical Theology is applied to the methodological process of churches, in the use of digital tools, to maintain access to the faithful. Thus, the importance of the concepts of Cybertheology, theoretical contributions related to Practical Theology, communicational perspectives of digital media in churches, in addition to being based on the conceptual constructions of cyberspace and cyberculture, is highlighted.
