This article aims to analyze the communication process in the Parable of the Sower, described in the Gospel according to Mark, in light of the communication process understood by Pierre Lévy. In Mark 4:13, Jesus questions the disciples about the parable, describing the need to understand the different elements that demonstrate the role of the sower when sowing, among the different types of soil: roadside, rocky, thorny, and good soil. Therefore, this study first presents the characteristics of the parable as a narrative structure and then presents the context of the parable of the sower, aiming, finally, to understand the communication process structured in this parable. The text concludes that the importance of careful listening, of hearing the word, to strengthen the structure of communication becomes clear.
