Abstract

This paper aims to develop a framework on tactics of access to land by black people at the slavery time in Rio Grande do Sul. The methodology employed is the bibliographic discussion. There was both formal and informal ways to get access to land and it stands out the importance of social relationships in the process of constitution of producers and autonomous black families and communities. This work hopes to increase the understanding about the slavery time and the agrarian system in Brazil.
