Mundo Desintegrado. A interpretação de Paul Tillich da modernidade na década de 1940

Abstract

O intelectual religioso protestante Paul Tillich interpretou a situação social e política mundial nas décadas de 1930 e 1940 como um mundo em desintegração. Essa assinatura da modernidade não se deve ao acaso, mas a um processo estruturalmente necessário ligado à sociedade burguesa. O artigo reconstrói essa tese de Tillich, bem como seus fundamentos no âmbito da filosofia da religião e da história.
