Abstract

The article presents results of a bibliographic-documentary research developed in a qualitative approach, which aimed to analyze possible advances and setbacks in the implementation of public policies aimed at Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) in the period 2015-2018. Even though the largest number of inclusion programs for the black population involving the confrontation of educational inequalities took place during the government of Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, the research showed that his successor, Dilma Rousseff, continued, to a certain extent, to this legacy. It was also found that after the interruption of Rousseff's second presidential term, which took place in 2016, the ERER entered a dismantling process, even though it was not officially contested as public policy. This is because, with a team mostly composed of white men, without the previously seen black and female representation, the government of Michel Temer not only did not present any proposal related to the consolidation of the ERER, but also eliminated strategic Ministries and reduced investments fundamental to the maintenance of the proposal.
