Abstract

The indigenous teacher is the one who seeks to offer teaching geared to the reality of the people, who respects and values their own culture so that it is an education made by the indigenous and for the indigenous, so the discussion aims to reflect on the training of indigenous teachers from Kumarumã Village, Galibi-Marworno People so that the historical memory is preserved. The methodological process took place in a qualitative, descriptive and ethnographic way, above all by analyzing the daily life of the Camilo Narciso State School (2009) in the community, questioning how the training of indigenous teachers in the community under discussion took place. The research has shown that Kumarumã indigenous teacher training is a differential, as the national curriculum guidelines for indigenous school education have been gradually implemented in this locality.
