Abstract

This article aims to study the roles of school management at EMEF Maestro Miguel Alves da Silva in the project “Hand in hand with Afro-Brazilian culture”. The research problem addressed the following question: what are the roles of school management at EMEF Maestro Miguel Alves da Silva in the project “Hand in hand with Afro-Brazilian culture”? The methodology is based on exploratory research carried out through a case study and documentary research, containing a qualitative approach to the object. The results showed that the project is important for the materialization of decolonial educational practices and that configure the plural, secular and diversified approach to the phenomenon and educational practice of religious education and that with the decrease in cases of Covid-19, the return of the project in the school environment of EMEF Maestro Miguel Alves da Silva will be made possible, thus achieving its important socio-educational continuity.
