Abstract

The democratization of spaces by means of affirmative actions of different natures in the Brazilian context has, noisily, triggered a wealth of arguments originating from the interior of the social movements, the academic universe, as well as from the spaces of the legal sphere about the legitimacy or the ethical character of these policies. The impact of affirmative action with regard to rights historically denied the black population points to an insertion or assimilation of the spaces and conceptions prevailing constructed, for a long time, through the denial not only of their physical presence, but mainly of knowledge reinterpreted within the black afro-Latino diasporas. It is necessary that we observe, in depth, how the social relations are formed, how power is articulated and the strategies to fight and cope of those so called "minority groups" and the correlation between the local struggles and the more global scenarios.
