Abstract

This bibliographic note reviews the Master’s degree thesis of Valdália Alves de Andrade, entitled “The Lombardos Capuchins in Maranhão: communication practices in the city of Imperatriz (1922-1979)”. The author analyzes the interventions of the Catholic Church in the settlement process in the region. The goal is to understand how the Capuchin articulated the communication in order to spread Catholicism and the transformations that took place over time in the context of the Church pastoral action.
