A Correlatio convida pesquisadoras e pesquisadores a submeterem artigos científicos e resenhas críticas para seu próximo número, com prazo de submissão até 15 de fevereiro de 2026.
Dedicada ao estudo das interfaces entre religião e cultura, a revista promove diálogos interdisciplinares inspirados pelo pensamento de Paul Tillich e fundamentados em abordagens das ciências humanas – especialmente filosofia, teologia, psicologia, antropologia, sociologia, estudos literários e artes. Seu propósito é fomentar hermenêuticas rigorosas e inovadoras do fenômeno religioso em suas múltiplas dimensões.
Fundada em 2002 sob os auspícios dos Profs. Drs. Etienne Higuet e Jaci Maraschin – este último, autor de inúmeros editoriais e responsável pela criação da consolidada “Conversa com o Editor”, que caracteriza o periódico desde o seu nascedouro –, a Correlatio estabeleceu-se como um espaço singular de reflexão crítica, contribuindo para a formação de estudiosos nas áreas de ciências da religião, filosofia da religião, teologia e teoria crítica.
Em 2023, sua publicação foi abruptamente interrompida devido a razões de força maior no âmbito da instituição que, então, a abrigava – a saber, a Universidade Metodista de São Paulo (UMESP), sobretudo no contexto de seu Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Religião. Registre-se, porém, o reconhecimento e a gratidão da Correlatio pelos longos anos em que a UMESP acolheu e apoiou a revista, contribuindo decisivamente para sua consolidação no meio acadêmico. Importa ressaltar que a suspensão não se deveu a qualquer falha do corpo editorial, da então Sociedade Paul Tillich do Brasil (hoje, Associação Paul Tillich do Brasil) ou da comunidade científica envolvida.
Diante dessa suspensão inesperada, a Associação Paul Tillich do Brasil mobilizou-se, em esforço conjunto e hercúleo, para garantir a continuidade do periódico. Como resultado desse empenho, a Correlatio foi transferida para as Faculdades EST, em São Leopoldo, que acolheram o projeto com espírito solidário e inequívoco compromisso institucional. Destaca-se, nesse processo, o inestimável apoio dos Profs. Drs. Valério Schaper e Marcelo Saldanha, cujas atuações foram decisivas para viabilizar esta nova etapa.
Agora sediada no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Teologia da EST e publicada em formato exclusivamente digital, a Correlatio retoma sua missão histórica de promover pesquisas de alta qualidade, interdisciplinaridade e diálogo crítico.

I. Temáticas e Escopo
Aceitam-se contribuições que abordem:
A) interfaces entre religião e cultura;
B) estudos sobre o pensamento de Paul Tillich, sua recepção e atualidade;
C) hermenêutica, fenomenologia e análise crítica da religião;
D) diálogos entre teologia e filosofia;
E) religião e psicologia, antropologia ou sociologia; religião, literatura e artes;
F) ética, política e experiência religiosa;
G) teorias contemporâneas do sentido, dos símbolos, dos mitos e da cultura.

II. Processo de Avaliação
Os manuscritos serão avaliados em regime de duplo-cego, por dois pareceristas externos, garantindo rigor acadêmico, imparcialidade e sigilo.

III. Submissão
Os textos devem ser enviados exclusivamente pelo sistema online da revista, conforme as diretrizes editoriais disponíveis na plataforma.

IV. Prazo Final
15 de fevereiro de 2026.
A Correlatio convida a comunidade acadêmica a participar desta retomada histórica, contribuindo para o aprofundamento crítico das interfaces entre religião e cultura. Call for Papers – Journal Correlatio

Correlatio invites scholars and researchers to submit original scientific articles and critical book reviews for its forthcoming issue. The submission deadline is February 15, 2026.

Dedicated to the study of the interfaces between religion and culture, the journal fosters interdisciplinary dialogue inspired by the thought of Paul Tillich and grounded in approaches from the human sciences – especially philosophy, theology, psychology, anthropology, sociology, literary studies, and the arts. Its purpose is to promote rigorous and innovative hermeneutical interpretations of the religious phenomenon in its multiple dimensions.
Founded in 2002 under the auspices of Professors Dr. Etienne Higuet and Dr. Jaci Maraschin – the latter the author of numerous editorials and the creator of the long-standing and emblematic “Conversation with the Editor” section, which has characterized the journal since its inception – Correlatio established itself as a distinctive space for critical reflection, contributing significantly to the education and formation of scholars in the fields of religious studies, philosophy of religion, theology, and critical theory.
In 2023, the journal’s publication was abruptly interrupted due to force majeure circumstances within the institution that had hosted it until then, namely the Methodist University of São Paulo (UMESP), particularly in the context of its Graduate Program in Religious Studies. It should be expressly noted, however, that Correlatio acknowledges with gratitude the many years during which UMESP hosted and supported the journal, thereby contributing decisively to its consolidation within the academic community. It is important to emphasize that this interruption was not the result of any failure on the part of the editorial board, the then Paul Tillich Society of Brazil (now the Paul Tillich Association of Brazil), or the scholarly community involved.
In response to this unexpected suspension, the Paul Tillich Association of Brazil mobilized in a joint and extraordinary effort to ensure the continuity of the journal. As a result, Correlatio was transferred to Faculdades EST, in São Leopoldo, which welcomed the project with a spirit of solidarity and a clear institutional commitment. Particular recognition is due to Professors Dr. Valério Schaper and Dr. Marcelo Saldanha, whose support and engagement were decisive in enabling this new phase.
Now hosted by the Graduate Program in Theology at Faculdades EST and published in an exclusively digital format, Correlatio resumes its historical mission of promoting high-quality research, interdisciplinarity, and critical dialogue.

I. Themes and Scope
Submissions addressing the following topics are welcome:
A) Interfaces between religion and culture
B) Studies on the thought of Paul Tillich, its reception, and contemporary relevance
C) Hermeneutics, phenomenology, and critical analysis of religion
D) Dialogues between theology and philosophy
E) Religion and psychology, anthropology, or sociology; religion, literature, and the arts
F) Ethics, politics, and religious experience
G) Contemporary theories of meaning, symbols, myths, and culture

II. Peer-Review Process
All manuscripts will be evaluated under a double-blind peer-review system by two external reviewers, ensuring academic rigor, impartiality, and confidentiality.

III. Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online submission system, in accordance with the editorial guidelines available on the platform.

IV. Final Deadline
February 15, 2026
Correlatio invites the academic community to take part in this historic resumption, contributing to the critical deepening of the interfaces between religion and culture.
