ARRIVAL AND EXPANSION OF ADVENTISM IN AMAPÁ (1952-2022)

Abstract

The article aims to historically contextualize the origins of Adventism and its arrival and expansion in the state of Amapá, taking as a time frame the years 1952 and 2022. The strategy used for this brief critical historical overview was contextualization and historiographic analysis, with an emphasis on relevant milestones and transition periods. The main sources used were published and/or unpublished works (manuscripts), books, articles, theses, dissertations, as well as official documents of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA), such as minutes, reports and inauguration plaques.
